One-Line Dryer

In the Large Format Printing environment you experience the need to dry the output from the printer. The printed material is not really dry when it hits the ground causing two major problems: dust on the print and eventually sticking to each other. The result is the same: a ruined printout.
If you are printing with Solvent (or ECO) the solvents make up a big part of the ink (up to 93%). These solvents are proven to attack the adhesive layer, causing a severe loss in adhesive power. Vinyl manufacturers advise to evacuate the solvents as soon as possible. Thanks to the Online Dryer with bottom up heating, solvents evaporate quickly.
A lot of manufacturers offer optional or integrated automatic take up device, which increase the need for fast drying ink on your output. When a take up device is installed on the large format printer one must be sure that the media is absolute dry before it touches the roller.

IR motion sensor (only available as an option on X models)

With the IR motion sensor one can work with fully automated drying. No need to look at the dryer as the sensor will switch it on automatically. The “blast mode heating” ensures that the media will be at the correct temperature when passing over the plate. Besides starting up, the IR motion sensor also detects the end of a job and it puts the Online Dryer in a sleep mode 15 minutes after the last movement of the head. No need to wait for the job to end to switch off. Print shops and people working overnight will save a lot of energy and money with the IR motion sensor option.
